Sketch London

After we visited Paris, we flew to London, and I was ecstatic to visit a restaurant famous for their tea and their aestheically pleasing atmosphere called Sketch.

We made the reservation months in advance because I had heard great things about it from some friends a while back. We got there, and I was amazed at all of the pink around us! The walls were covered in paintings by an artist named David Shrigley. The tea cups and plates were also designed by him.

Sketch’s menu has a wide variety of tea, and they brought out finger foods such as mini sandwiches and desserts. I tried three different teas, and my favorite was the lemongrass ginger. The meal ended with the best tasting scones ever!

Another cool part of Sketch is the restroom, which is possibly the coolest one I have ever seen! When I entered the it, there were two staircases leading in opposite directions, one with blue lights on the sides and the other with pink lights. The blue lights lead up to the boys restrooms and the pink for the girls. Once you go up the stairs, there are tall, white oval rooms. Inside these tiny rooms are the toilets, and outside the ovals are sinks. The ovals with the toilets, sinks, and walls are all white, but the grid of colorful lights on the ceiling light add a modern pop of color to the otherwise monochromatic bathroom.
