For those of you going back to school in person, I am envious! I’m going to be a sophomore in high school this year, and I would have never imagined spending the end of my freshman year online, let alone the beginning of my sophomore year online as well. At first, I really enjoyed online school, as it was a break from my jam-packed schedule that included a long school day, a lot of homework, and volleyball practice. It enabled me to start this blog back up after taking a long break due to the busyness of the school year, and I got to enjoy more freedom and flexibility with my schedule. I mean who doesn’t love extra sleep, more homemade meals, and sweatpants 24/7? However, I’m sure a lot of people can relate to me when I say online school got old quickly. I started to really missed seeing my friends everyday, engaging in class face-to-face with people, and not sitting around all day staring at a computer.

Also, I don’t know about you, but online school is anxiety provoking and super demotivating for me. I don’t feel nearly as motivated or driven while doing online school than I did while going to regular school, but I often have to pinch myself that I have the resources to be able to somewhat thrive while doing online school. So many people do not have the sufficient resources to be able to do so. Computers and WiFi on top of the normal school materials can really add up financially. In this post, I am sharing the online back-to-school “essentials” that I love, but I’m aware that these online back-to-school “essentials” are not really essentials. Instead, they are just fun items to hopefully brighten your days online. Enjoy!

Back to school shopping is a tradition in my family. However, this year we are doing all our shopping online rather than in-store like normal. Since I am using less paper (since all resources are online), I don’t really feel the need to buy a whole new set of binders, a new folder, and a new notebook. Rather, I need more items to help myself stay motivated and time manage this school year.
