I hate to be writing anything with the word “school” in it right now, as we all soak up the last bit of summer. However, the early bird gets the worm with back-to-school shopping! I am very excited for school this year because I am going to a new (boarding) school! I have not been to school in person since March 2020, so getting back into the school routine will be quite the transition but also will be super exciting.

I have not bought anything school related in quite a while since I have been online for so long, and I completely forgot about the struggle of finding the right backpack! An ideal backpack has the right amount of space and is somewhat fashionable. However, it is not too busy with prints or patterns or else it will not match with anything… There is a lot of criteria to be met, people.

Every year, I search online for a good list of backpacks for high school girls like me who need something cute but also functional. However, I rarely have any luck with finding a list of backpacks in my style that are decently functional. I spent way too long searching for my backpack this year, so I found a lot of great backpacks in the process. Since I found so many, I thought I would share my favorite backpacks for high school girls who need a backpack that is fashionable AND functional!

PS: After studying the dimensions of many backpacks, I realized that over 16” in height and 5” in depth is the minimum a backpack needs to be for me (someone who usually carries a binder or two, a textbook, a smaller book, and a water bottle in my backpack every day). If you carry a similar load, keep these dimensions in mind as you shop for a backpack this year!
