5 Staples You Need for Fall 2020
Happy fall! I love fall so much because some of the best holidays are in fall, there are pumpkin spice drinks at coffee shops (I’m so basic, I know), and best of all, we can dress for fall! Fall fashion is one of my favorite things. Ever. The thing I love the most about it is how it can be so true to you. A lot of people think of neutral and brown tones when they think of fall fashion (which I love), but fall fashion can also mean colors and patterns galore. If you are like me and are looking for some staples to layer and wear this fall no matter what kind of style you have, here are 5 of the top trends for fall this year, and my favorite items for each trend are below each description.
Leather/pleather pants
Leather or pleather pants are the perfect substitute for jeans this fall and winter because they add some texture and uniqueness to an outfit. You can wear these with sneakers and a white tee with a cardigan for a casual daytime look, but you can also pair this style pant with block heels and a pull over sweater for a dressier look. I just purchased these vegan leather pants from Aritzia, and I am obsessed with them! Here are even more styles of leather pants that I love:
Chunky black booties
Chunky booties are so cute and flattering! I think they look so cute with jeans and a coat, but they are also so cute with a dress and tights for fall, especially the time between fall and summer which we are in right now. Shop my favorite chunky black booties down below:
Turtlenecks
Turtlenecks are such a staple for fall because they can be worn with pretty much anything. However, recently I have been loving the look of wearing turtlenecks underneath a dress for a cute and warmer look for fall. If you don’t have a good solid colored turtleneck for fall, check out these down below:
Flannel
Flannel is so trendy right now. Flannel coats and tops are the perfect layering piece for fall this year. Shop my favorite flannel pieces down below:
Cable knit sweaters
Cable knit is such a classic and timeless material to have in your fall wardrobe, and, more specifically, cable knit sweaters are such a staple for me in the fall when I need to throw something on with jeans without any though. Here are my favorite cable knit pieces:
